General FAQs

I forgot my password. What should I do?
If you forgot about your password, please follow below steps:
  1. Click on 'Member Login' found on the top of the homepage
  2. Click on 'Forgot Password'
  3. Type in your email address and click 'Submit'
  4. An email with your new temporary password will be sent to you
  5. Log into the account with the new temporary password
  6. Click on 'My Profile' found at the top of the home page
  7. Click on 'Edit Profile' found on the left side of the page
  8. Reset your password
  9. Click on 'Submit'
I forgot which email address I've used to register my account. What should I do?
If you've forgotten your login email address, please contact us. We will ask you a few questions for validation purposes and help retrieve it for you.
How can I search for other members?
To search for other members, you can use the search box which is located on the right side of most pages. You can search by the name, company, AS number, or the country of the member who you are looking for. You can even click on 'Browse all members' link to view all members.

Note: The search function is for our members only therefore you will need to log into the account first.

Membership FAQs

How do I become a member?
You can sign up for membership simply by going to the sign up page, fill in the necessary information and click 'submit'. Once your request has been approved, you will receive an account activation email.
Is there a membership fees?
Membership is completely free of charge.
What is an AS Number? What if I don't have one?
Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs) are globally unique numbers that are used to identify autonomous system (ASes) and which enable an AS to exchange exterior routing information between neighboring ASes, If you don't have an AS Number, please check the 'if AS Number is not applicable' check box.
How long does it take to receive the account activation email?
It usually takes no longer than 72 hours but if you have any questions or problems regarding the membership registration process, please contact us.

My Profile FAQs

Who can view my profile?
Only members, after logging in, can view your profile.
How do I edit my profile?
To edit your profile, please follow below steps:
  1. Log into the account
  2. Click on 'My Profile' found at the top of the home page
  3. Click on 'Edit Profile' found on the left side of the page
  4. Update your profile
  5. Click on 'Submit'
What is official profile picture?
Official profile picture is uploaded by Equinix which is taken in an event. It cannot be deleted but you can chose to hide it from profile pictures.
How do I deactivate my account?
To deactivate your account, please follow below steps:
  1. Log into the account
  2. Click on 'My Profile' found at the top of the home page
  3. Click on 'Edit Profile' found on the left side of the page
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on 'Deactivate my account' link
  5. Click on 'Yes, I want to deactivate my account'

Note: Once the account is closed, a user will no longer have access to the account or the contact information.

Event FAQs

How do I sign up for an upcoming event?
To sign up for an upcoming event, please follow below steps:
  1. Log into the account
  2. Click on 'Events' found at the top of the page
  3. Click on 'Upcoming Events' found on the left side of the page
  4. If there are multiple upcoming events, select the event you wish to join
  5. Click on 'Attend' found on the right side of the page
  6. An automate confirmation email will be sent to you
How do I add an event to my Outlook Calendar?
You can download the latest event calendar, which contains all your up-to-date confirmed meetings, by clicking 'Download my event calendar' found on the right side of the page. If you experience difficulty importing the .ics file directly onto your mobile device (some models have known compatibility issue), we suggest you first import the .ics file through your desktop Outlook and then synchronize the calendar with your mobile device.

Note: Please remember to delete any previous version from your calendar to avoid duplication.

How can I cancel an event which I have signed up?
To cancel an event which you have signed up, please follow below steps:
  1. Log into the account
  2. Click on 'Events' found at the top of the page
  3. Click on 'My Upcoming Events' found on the left side of the page
  4. Locate the event which you would like to cancel
  5. Click on 'Cancel Sign-Up' found on the right side
  6. An automate confirmation email will be sent to you

Note: If you have confirmed meetings, you need to cancel them before cancelling the event.

I have cancelled an event but why is it still showing up on my Outlook Calendar?
Unfortunately we cannot access to your Outlook Calendar, therefore you will need to remove the event on your own.
How come there is no registration box on some of the upcoming event pages?
Some events are by invitation only. If you have any inquiry, please contact us.
How can I find out who else are attending the event?
To view the attendance list:
  1. Log into the account
  2. Click on 'Events' found at the top of the page
  3. Click on 'Upcoming Events' found on the left side of the page
  4. If there are multiple upcoming events, select the event you wish to view
  5. Click on 'View Attendance' found on the right side of the page
Can I print out the 'Attendance List'?
Yes, you can. Click on 'Print Attendance List' found on the right side of the page.
What is 'Tentative Attendance'?
Those on the tentative attendances list are the ones who have not confirm whether they will attend the event or not. As the event date is approaching those on the tentative attendances list will receive follow up email from us. If they couldn't confirm their attendance within a given period of time, we will then consider them as not attending the event.
How can I RSVP for specific activities at an event?
To RSVP for special activities at an event, please follow below steps:
  1. Log into the account
  2. Click on 'Events' found at the top of the page
  3. Locate the event you will attend
  4. Click on 'My Schedule' found on the right side of the event
  5. If the event has multiple days, select the day first
  6. You can RSVP for the activity you would like to join
  7. Click on 'Yes'

Note: You need to confirm your attendance before you can RSVP for any specific activities

How can I view pictures taken from the event?
To view pictures taken from the event, simply click on 'Photos Gallery' found on the right side of the event detail page. Please note that not all events included photos gallery.

Meet Your Peers FAQs

How do I schedule a meeting?
To schedule a meeting, please follow the steps below:
  1. Log into the account
  2. Click on 'Events' found at the top of the page
  3. Click on 'My Upcoming Events' found on the left side of the page
  4. Click on 'View Attendance And Arrange Meeting' found on the right side of the page
  5. Locate the person you would like to meet by either the search or filter options provided
  6. Click on 'Arrange Meeting' next to the person's name (If you've chosen to filter invitee by timeslot, the system will take you to step 8)
  7. Select the date you would like for the meeting
  8. Choose the available time slot and click on 'Invite'
  9. You can add or delete participants for the meeting before the invitation is sent
  10. Invitation email will send to invitee, after you click “Submit”. You can start over again by “Back” button
  11. A send result is displayed for your review. In the event that one or more of the invitees are no longer available, you will have the option to retry the same timeslot with a different peer. Otherwise, you can proceed to schedule a new meeting or exit the system.
Can I invite multiple people to a meeting?
Yes you can. Depending on the type of event, a pre-set number of multiple invites are allowed to be scheduled for the same meeting.
How do I accept or decline a meeting request?
There are two ways to accept a meeting request:
  • By email
    1. Open the 'Meeting Request' email
    2. Click on link found in the email
    3. Login to your account
    4. Accept or decline the request
  • Through website
    1. Log into the account
    2. Click on 'My Meetings' found in 'My Event'
    3. Click on the 'Pending invitations from others' tab
    4. Locate the meeting you wanted to accept or decline
    5. Accept or decline the request
Can I set up a meeting with someone who is on the 'Tentative Attendance' list?
No, you cannot set up a meeting request with someone who is on the 'Tentative Attendance' list. You can only set up a meeting request with those on the attendance list.
How do I cancel a meeting which I have already accepted?
To cancel a meeting request, please follow below steps:
  1. Log into the account
  2. Click on 'Events' found at the top of the page
  3. Click on 'My Upcoming Events' found on the left side of the page
  4. Locate the event which you will attend
  5. Click on 'My Meetings' found on the right side of the page
  6. Click on the 'Confirmed' tab
  7. Locate the meeting you wanted to cancel
  8. Click on 'Cancel Meeting'

Note: Don't forget to remove the meeting from your Outlook Calendar.

How do I block / unblock time slots?
To block specified time slot(s), please follow below steps:
  1. Log into the account
  2. Click on 'Events' found at the top of the page
  3. Click on 'My Upcoming Events' found on the left side of the page
  4. Locate the event which you will attend
  5. Click on 'My schedule' found on the right side of the page
  6. Select the slot(s) you would like to block
  7. Click on 'Block'

Note: No one can book meeting during blocked time slot.

To unblock specified time slot(s), please follow below steps:

  1. Log into the account
  2. Click on 'My schedule' found in 'My Event'
  3. Select the slot(s) you would like to unblock
  4. Click on 'Unblock'
The meeting initiator has cancelled the meeting request, what do I need to do?
If the meeting initiator has cancelled the meeting request, your schedule will automatically be updated and your time slot will be open again for other meeting request. Please note that you will need to remove the meeting in your Outlook Calendar.
Can I print out my meeting schedule?
Yes, you can print out your meeting schedule.
  1. Log into the account
  2. Click on 'Events' found at the top of the page
  3. Click on 'My Upcoming Events' found on the left side of the page
  4. Locate the event which you will attend
  5. Click on 'My Meetings' found on the right side of the page
  6. Click on 'Print My Meetings' found on the right side of the page

Mobile FAQs

How come the website looks different when I access it through my mobile device?
When you go to peeringforum.asia using your mobile device’s web browser, you will automatically be redirected to our mobile homepage. If the mobile page does not load, simply enter http://m.peeringforum.asia into your browser.
How come some of the features such as ‘My Profile’, ‘Past Events’, ‘Search’ are missing from the mobile version?
Peeringforum.asia mobile is a streamlined version of the full website that offers an enhanced web experience for users browsing the web with an iPhone, Blackberry or other smartphone device.

Our mobile version features:

  1. News
  2. Event sign up or cancelling
  3. View attendances list and their profiles
  4. Request for meeting
  5. View your schedule and meetings
Can I switch to peeringforum.asia desktop version?
If you like to switch back to the non-mobile version, please follow below steps:
  1. Enter peeringforum.asia mobile site
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page
  3. Tab/click on the ‘Desktop’ link

How can I find out who else are attending the event and view their profiles?
To view the attendance list:
  1. Log into the account
  2. Click on ‘Events’ found at the top of the page
  3. Below the event description, click on ‘View Attendance and Arrange Meeting’ button
  4. To view the attendance’s profile, click on the attendance’s name
How can I RSVP or change my status for specific activities at an event?
To RSVP or change your status for special activities at an event, please visit our desktop version. Due to security measure, you will need to login again.

Note: You need to confirm your attendance before you can RSVP for any specific activities

How do I set up a meeting request at an Equinix hosted event?
To set up a meeting request, please follow below steps:
  1. Log into the account
  2. Click on ‘Events’ found at the top of the page
  3. Below the event description, click on ‘View Attendance and Arrange Meeting’ button
  4. Locate the person who you would like to invite for the meeting
  5. Click on ‘Arrange Meeting’ next to the person name
  6. Select the date you would like to set up for the meeting
  7. Select the time slot you would like to meet
  8. Click on 'Submit’
